After the Protests, What Now?

Josh and I met in October 2019 and we couldn’t come from more different backgrounds. He is a 28 year old Black man and I’m a 72 year old white woman. We have developed a relationship based on our authentic selves and want to expand that to include all of you. Please join us, bringing your full selves and ideas. In collaboration, with our collective will and wisdom we are going to eradicate the racist culture that now exists. There is a sense of urgency which we need to harness – to rebuild and heal together.

Josh Easter is COO of A Greater Good Foundation, a youth mentorship organization that was founded in 2016. AGGF runs experience-based social, emotional and Restorative Justice programs throughout Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana. Over the last 4 years they have been able to build a larger community of young people using restorative practices, while supporting youth and their families as they transition into adulthood.
Rachelle Zola moved to Chicago 9 months ago, developing relationships with people in the Black and Latinx communities and sharing their stories on YouTube. She is educating people who look like her to acknowledge the devastation that white privilege and racism has brought upon entire families and communities. Since arriving she has also become a circle keeper practitioner. She is the author of the book Simple Successes: From Obstacles to Solutions with Special Needs Children.
