Video conversations and gatherings have been essential for me during the quarantine because I live alone and have felt isolated from close friends and loved ones due to the effects of social distancing and shelter-in-place. We will create a space in our group to feel connected in a meaningful way to lessen the feelings or experiences of being or feeling isolated during this time.

Vada has been an educator for almost 20 years. She supports leaders and teachers with creating effective learning environments for students. Vada recently started a blog called “Black Girl Math” (www.blackgirlmath.com) to share her teaching experiences with others.
