Embodiment Space: Devil Tower Star: Stories from the Tarot

October 1, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CDT

The Tarot offers us stories.
Stories can distract, or stories can guide.

The choice is ours.

The Tarot has a long history of being used either for distraction, or for guidance. It can be a parlor game, or it can be a gateway to an understanding that runs deeper than our conscious thought.

I don’t believe in using the Tarot to tell our future.

I believe the stories offered by the Tarot are a map to see us through.

We need radical stories. We always have, and now in these wild waters of 2020 and what’s to come, we need them even more.

The Major Arcana of The Tarot is made of 22 archetypes that begin with The Fool (Card 0) and shapeshift into The World (Card 21).

The development of the archetypes from one to the other isn’t arbitrary, and it offers us stories that become a map (as all old stories have always been)

When we explore how the archetypes grow and shift into each other, we are given a guide. We’re shown how we can grow and shift and adapt.
In the progression of the Major Arcana, The Devil is Card 15. This then becomes The Tower, Card 16. And this then becomes The Star, Card 17.

That’s a story to guide us. And on Thursday, October 1st, I’m going to share my perspective on that story. I hope you’ll come.

(For those who have purchased The Somatic Tarot deck, there is an additional session from 2-3 pm EST where we’ll go deeper into this story and others from the Major Arcana, and I’ll be able to answer any questions you may have about the deck. There’s information in your inbox with more details. If you would like to purchase The Somatic Tarot and gain access to this second hour, there are a very few remaining decks available: you can purchase here)
