Inlakesh Ceremonial Circle

In the next Inlakesh Ceremonial Circle gathering will summon that spirit in a beautiful ceremony to honor and celebrate our Dead Ancestors.
I am right now preparing all the beautiful icons my Day of the Dead Altar will feature. I invite you to also create a beautiful altar and share it with us that day, whether through video live or your photos.
During this celebration we acknowledge the power of gratitude, love and joy to help BOTH the living and the dead to evolve, heal and renew ourselves.
In this spirit, laughter, humor, celebration, offers of flowers, wine, coffee, desert, favorite dishes or liquor that our ancestors liked –they are all festive ways to celebrate them and with them. There is no disrespect or sacrilege intended in this cultural practice. It is the practice of joyful reverence.
Below you will find resources, such as photos to inspire you for your altr, tips and recommendations and skull pages that you can print and color or print in color paper and hang down as garlands.
- We share stories of their lives. Sometimes they are funny or silly stories. Sometimes they are sad or say something about who they were. Sometimes we want to forgive and release unfinished business.
- We take this opportunity to give thanks for the Ancestors’ Gifts, those values, talents or strengths that they passed on to us.
- This is also a time to celebrate those role models or leaders that inspired us. You can add their photos to the Ancestors’ photos. There are some ideas in the resource page.
