The Gathering for Change Agents: Loving Diverse Strengths to Achieve More Together
March 4, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm CST
with Lori Lovens
It is easy to say we must love and embrace diversity to succeed as agents of change. Yet this is not always easy in practice. Just look back on your own collaboration efforts over the years and it is likely that you will not have to search too far to see where conflict created setbacks even among people professing shared beliefs and values.
Change agents have a reputation for letting differences get in the way of progress. Our speaker this month is dedicated to changing that dynamic.
Did you know we all have instinctual preferences for how we take action? Or that our similarities can lead to interia and blind spots? On the flip side, other people have instinctual strengths much different from our own. But do we have the tools to get past the rough edges of those differences to achieve the kind of collaboration that only diverse strengths can achieve?
Lori Lovens is a dynamic innovator, entrepreneur, and speaker who has delivered hundreds of millions of dollars of product innovation growth for global brands. Her deep understanding of how to empower innovation was developed over the past 25 years via immersion in hundreds of cross-functional projects as team member, project leader, innovation coach, consultant, and VP Culture of Innovation.
In this call, we’ll explore:
– How do change agents teams learn to truly love and appreciate differences in strengths?
– What are the blind spots of those who typically are called to transformational change?
– What tools and tactics can we employ to overcome our blind spots and to leverage our strengths?
