What Is Your Liberation Language? A Juneteenth Celebration Across Many Expressions of Freedom

June 19, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CDT

Tickets are not available as this gathering has passed.

As we celebrate the holiday commemorating the last enslaved African American peoples in Galveston, TX, on June 19, 1865, what does liberation mean in 2021? One remembering and truth offered by Emma Lazarus is that none of us is free until all of us are free. How do we express and celebrate our many beautiful languages of liberation as we continue to fight for racial justice, reconciliation and equality? The language of liberation has many voices within a system that still oppresses and beckons to be healed and transformed into liberation for all.

Join Dena Wiggins of DenaWiggins.com to unlock, witness, and uplift and celebrate the many languages of liberation. Within the unique time of history, what are the acts of liberation that free your soul, honor the history of the ancestors and create a culture of liberation for generations to come?

This gathering is part of the National Week of Conversation.
